I don't think we have to worry about that too much. There are plenty of red ferraris and other exotics to keep the cops drooling
It's not a good idea to speed through anywhere between Carmel and Monterey, but the police activity through Big Sur is generally pretty light. I think a meetup at Nepenthe with a bunch of 993's would be awesome.

I'm wondering if going too far from Monterey and parking a bunch of Porsches outside a trendy restaurant won't end up being a “CHP magnet" (pun intended) leading to a DUI check point a mile down the road.
A gaggle of Porsches won't raise many eyebrows that weekend. Porsches are like Fords down there then, even on the outskirts. However, if people are hotdogging near the CHP they'll be pulled over in a city minute.

As a long time attendee, I'd second Ken and Paul's restaurant lists. If you're going to drive to Big Sur, personally I'd go to Ventana or Post Ranch Inn, both have world class views but the food is much better than Nepanthe IMHO.

^^ Both great places, I agree. Just a very different vibe.

I don't think it is much of a problem, exotic cars in that area is NOT unusual at all. I wouldn't do anything careless or reckless, that will definitely attract attention, but a convoy of Porsche's, as long as they are driving safely, no.

Smile Monterey Fish Company

Sit at the Oyster Bar...great fish...epic place.

Carmel has lots of great restaurants. Check out: http://www.carmelcalifornia.com/inde...rants_bars.htm
The above has lots of coupons/discounts.

My wife likes La Bicyclette in Carmel...me, I'd just as soon have a cheese burger and a beer or a coke, spend $10 for dinner instead of $75.

Good to hear that our presence anywhere will not draw unwanted LE attention.

Screw the high dollar food, and go to Sly McFly's on Cannery row. Average pub/bar food, but excellent music !

Winner to the King, five hundred dollars..... Shut up, Ike

You guys decide. As long as the beer is cold and fellow Rennlisters are there, it'll be great!

Just following up, is anyone up for meeting Thursday afternoon/evening?
I will be heading up the coast Thursday morning. Meeting a few other P-cars somewhere along the Big Sur coastline would be a great way to pull into town. I don't really care where we go, but a $15 AmbrosiaBurger sounds like a good idea.
