Default Front brake pad sensor needed

I managed to break one of the front brake pad wear sensors during my caliper rebuild. If you have a new one that you're not using, please let me know. I need this sooner than later.

The part number is: 964.612.363.01

Here is the item:

I broke one of my brand new ones from Pelican during install. Hard to describe how it broke. it was the thin plastic part of the outside of the slot. I broke it while trying to push it into the pad. Thought I was screwed and needed another. I still got it to seat in the pad properly even tho it was broken. Not sure of your situation.

I think all of mine are broken to some extent from track pad changes

I actually just got a pad wear light a few days ago and haven't had time to find which it is...

I do not see a need to mess around with a sensor if you are working on the brakes regularly. next time when you change the pads, you might consider to defeat the system by cutting off the seonsor piece and soldering the wires together. You can always go back to sensors (e.g. usage of the car changes back to "normal" street driving") by replacing them.

A set (2) of new sensors are about $25 from places like Sunset and Sun Coast.

No need to cut the wires. I simply put them in a neat bundle and cable tie them behind the calipers.

Broke one, installed one incorrectly (did nto push plug all the way in) both triggered idiot light.

Bought through Pelican, Sunset and Ebay. Ebay was quickest.

That is the plan, maybe just as they fail. I actually wasn't sure if the sensor was normally open or closed, but if you know it's closed, that's how I will fix my issue this time.
