I'll add a vote for Midwest Eurosport. I'm a believer. They've worked on my 993 coupe when it was still in Chicago, and added the RS height ROW sport suspension.
They have serviced and supported my S2 race car from 2004 til present.
They also have a facility at Autobahn in addition to the one near O'Hare
I used the folks in Bensenville and they did an terrible job. I ask them if the car ever suffered any damage and they said no and then I discover the rear quarter panel was replaced. I requested that they do a leak down and they told me it wasn't needed and they were the experts. They didn't even run a scanner on the car to see it if through any codes and as soon as the ECU reset the car through a SAI code. Say away and find someone else and I would not trust Matt. Maybe its me but I had a really bad experience with them and I don't want anyone else to have a similar problem. Try Perfect Power at least their website looks good.
I'm down to two Mechanic's near the Car for a PPI. The two are Eurobahn Imports in Addison and Midwest Eurosport in Bensenville, IL. Any Feedback or Experience's?
yeah, my vote is perfect power in barrington and Euroquip in St. charles is good to. I guess it depends on where the car is at. I would also throw in Napelton Porsche, they are a little more conveniently located.
If the car is at one of the usual suspect "exotic" car dealers. There are few of us that responded that probably live close enough to check it out.

I use Napelton for wheel balancing stuff, but the problem with them doing a PPI is that they just don't know (or see) enough of the 993's any more. Most of the Tech's I see in their shop look like they were born post mid 90's.

Just to clarify... Perfect Power is in Buffalo Grove.
I had them do some work on my 95' I was impressed with their shop, and their work. I just wish they were not $140/hr labor. my car would be there more often.

Nick, Fischer Mortors is about $115/hour. Dealerships are all north of $150 and have not seen a air cooled Porsche in over 10 years.
I have a very limited amount of experience with Midwest Performance Cars in downtown Chicago but they seem like really good guys. FWIW they also say good things about Midwest Eurosport.
