Not my, car but a dear friend's car got nailed by a Prius when the driver mistook her gas pedal for the brake pedal and backed into him. Front quarter panel is crunched (to the extent it's no longer drivable) plus some major scrape-age down the side.

My buddy's distraught, and rightfully so, as he just acquired his Guard's Red '95 just this year. Please let me know who's the go-to guy in this town for this sort of thing.

Those of you who have been in this unfortunate situation yourselves, what was a successful strategy in getting the insurance company to do the right thing, i.e. have it fixed and painted by a top notch shop, along with getting compensated for lowered resale value due to the crash? Police were called on this one, so I'm pretty sure the Carfax will reflect this incident, yes?

Check out performance Auto Collision in Alpharetta. They do all the Ferrari, Porsche, Lexus and Audi work for the dealerships. I've taken my wife lexus there, and a previous Audi for work and they are amazing. They don't cut corners, use only OEM stuff, etc. Dedicated paint building with several booths, etc. Top notch.

They also did an awesome total repaint job on my 993 3 years ago. Glasurit paint, new body gaskets, the works...
