Wheel and suspension recommendations for my Riviera C2S?
I'm open to all suggestions. For everyone that will say don't change it, I am keeping ALL stock parts carefully packaged. I am not changing anything that can not be changed back. I looked at every page on the picture thread and really like the following wheels and would like opinions and suggestions. My Riviera RS has black wheels, how do you think any of the below would look in black on a 993?
18inch BBS LM's
19inch Ruff
18inch Kinesis K58's
Suspension:
The only one I know of is the: ROW M030
What is the drop on the above and what are other options and there drops? Open to all suggestions.
LASTLY, where is the best place to buy?
Thanks!
Chris

Suspension: FD Motorsports... where I got my M030/Bilstein HD combo. Great service and nice guys to deal with to boot. You can get the car to RS +10-15 height with this combo on the low end or higher if you want.
I think the LMs would look great in black or gunmetal or the k58s as well. IMO 18s look just right on these cars although some prefer 19s. Of course I am partial to Speedlines and you could get any color center you want!

You should definitely change the suspension, and on that car I would go with the Porsche M030 w/Bilstein HD set up from FD. Maybe also do the Porsche cup strut brace.
I refuse to respond to your wheel question on principle The factory hollow spokes are lighter and more perfectly asthetically designed than anything else for that car. Ok, if you INSIST on changing, from your list I like the way RUF will look the best, although they will be VERY heavy, but that probably doesnt matter on a street car. I have the same issue with my RS Speedlines.

All of the wheels mentioned look great, of your choices, I like the LMs and the K58s based more on weight. The Ruf wheels, made by speedline are actually quite heavy.
Wheels are very subjective, and everyone has their own personal favorites, as long as YOU like them, that is all that really matters.
There are other suspension choices including PSS10, which offers flexibility. Everyone is different, and everyone's roads are different. I happen to have a M030/HD set up and like it quite a bit, even for a street car. It is a bit rough on rough roads, but I rarely am on really rough road.
If you head down the track route, there are other more hardcore suspension set ups, but they probably won't be very comfortable for the street.
FD motorsports and Steve Weiner at Rennsport are probably the places I would start with, both are sponsors and quite active here on the 993 board.

I like the HD/ROW M030 set up. I had it on my cab and put it on the turbo.

I too would recommend the M030 sport suspension with Bilstein HD's.
Wheels are a matter of preference. I think the BBS's with black centers would like very nice on your car. Speedlines are nice too. I'd avoid the Ruf wheels because they are very heavy...

Chris, start with telling us what it is that you want and intend to do with the car. Otherwise the wheel recommendations will run from 10 lb magnesium race wheels for $10K to some boat anchors for $600 from parts unknown. It's going to be even more variable for suspension - from OEM M033 to Motons or Ohlins.
Well, you can see, it's already started. There is just not enough info (zero, as a matter of fact) to recommend anything intelligently.

However, I do agree with your reasoning and we should know what Chris wants the end product to be before we can give the best advice.

I hope not.

Some say (and I am one) that Bilstein HD's can be harsh on bad roads. Also, wheel size/tire profile and tire pressure will affect ride. I would not be in a hurry. Try to drive cars with different setups before you make your final choice.

I'd go Bilstein PSS10s for their adjuastability; you can find your comfort/stiffness level compromise and leave it.
Wheels are very subjective. Have you considered a set of hollow 996 Turbo wheels? They look great on WB 993s, fit perfectly, and are 11" at the back.

This car will be used only for weekend drives and shows. It will not be tracked or daily driven. My goal is for it to look the best which I know is personal preference, but since this is my first 993 and I have not seen many I am looking for experiences and opinions of the members here which have obviously been through alot more trial and error then I have.
Thanks,
Chris

I think that based on this description a set of Koni FSDs and M033 springs will do the trick just fine.
Wheels are purely aesthetic choice in this case. Do you want period-correct honey-comb BBS or 5-star wheels? I would stay away from 19" wheels, but, again, it's just me.
