Well, I found a set of wheels locally, and had to jump on them. The car already looks better, even though I haven't even really started. I am planning on sticking with the full Stahlgrau complement, so the wheels will get the centers color matched.
Now I will need to find a new home for the Blizzaks.
Thanks for looking.......

That is going to be a nice car when you get done with it. You are fortunate to have someone helping you that has been down this road. You are sliding down the slope quickly; don't let him push you faster.

If I ever wash the thing. I haven't washed the car in over a month. And yes I do need some new shots of the car. As you know the garage is taking all the time. I finally commited to the lights. That only took 3 weeks.

Well, I guess it is about time for an update. The car is on jack stands and work on the front end is progressing. I had planned to start by replacing the front rotors, and then suspension. I did a little disassembly and cleaning, and found a leaking steering rack and a leaking front differential. Sometimes it seems like all I am doing is ordering parts.
Fast forward a few weeks and I am finally making forward progress. I got my parts for the diff. rebuild from the guys at FD. The differential has all new seals, and is back in the car. The rebuild went smooth.
The next project will be installing the steering rack I got from Zims. I went ahead and replaced the lines going to the rack as well, as mine had some corrosion. The car has 175k on her, so she will be getting new tie rods, new ball joints and drop links. Pretty much a new front end, oh.. and of couse Walrod bushings.
I already have the rotors and suspension waiting for when I get the front end back together.
I guess this is a good place to mention that I had planned on doing a fair amount of this when I purchased the car. I hadn't planned on a steering rack and differential re-seal, but I want this car to be done right when completed. I have also decided that when I drop the engine, I will sell it and put the money towards having the transmission refreshed with close ratio gears. That should go nicely with my new motor.
See how much fun you can have, when you buy a 97 C4S for 16K?
