+1-I have Supercups and they are loud but you can putter around town w/o issue. Quality is top notch.

Do any of these 2 exhausts affect the total power output of the engine? Or is it all about the noise?

In the end, it's about the noise and driving experience, unless you have other engine mods.

I have a 993 cab and currently have the fabspeed set up with sport cats and x pipe and maxflows. Huge upgrade from stock but I did maxflows first without x pipe etc and wanted more. Huge improvement adding sport cats and x pipe so I would consider including that set up with fabspeed or DACH set up. As far as cans go clearly sound clips on you tube great research tool and cost factors in when deciding between RSR vs fisters vs fabspeeds and so on. Sounds like quality is great across the board. The tubi was not available for the 993 a year ago when I bought my maxflows but my friend has them on his 997 turbo and they sound great. I love my maxflows but want a diff sound but not super cups sound so I literally ordered fister 3 with Darin this past Friday along with walrod bushings and RS motor mounts. As soon as my new cans arrive and are installed my maxflows are available for sale. So let me know if anyone interested?

Just check with my local mechanic and I was told that the FabSpeed doesn't 100% fit with factory C2 bumper and modification is needed for the tail tips. Any comments?

Probably no unless a dyno run of an aftermarket vs stock exhaust performed under identical conditions on the same day can prove otherwise on a 100% stock engine.

A motorcycle magazine that I subscribe to runs about ten aftermarket exhaust systems against a stock exhaust system a few times a year (different make/model each time). The peak gains are hardly worth talking about, especially when you consider the power dips on the way up towards the peak. Same for torque, of course.

Most likely.

Since other makes were brought up as well, here is the info on the RSR Muffler.

My biggest concern on this has always been power loss. Our NA motors need all the help we can get, and certainly not even a small amount of HP/torque leakage is acceptable. My local shop says that they have dyno'd and seen a lot of this. Not specifically with FD or RSR, but others.

Now you have me confused. I thought stage 2 was going to be too quiet, with stage 3 being necessary to really get some pop and gurgle/roar, etc. I.E. the good stuff

But if that is Stage 1, that sounds pretty good. I am surprised, I would have thought it was much quieter than that. Any other modifications? I.E. sport cats, etc.?

Just ordered the X-pipe with Maxflo muffler, air box and BMC. What's next? RS mount? Any suggestions?
