high rider,

I have a spare 993 (1995 specs) owners manual, not perfect but not torn or smudged, if you're keen, let's see how we can make a "deal"...

send me a PM,

Bert

High Rider,

Let me know if you're still interested? I have somebody else "second in line". No offense if you don't want it , just let me know?

Hi High Rider,

Why don't you try the following link:

http://www.porsche.com/usa/accessori...calliterature/

Maybe you'll be able to save some money for being "first in line"

They typically not in stock and I heard rumors in Germany that they are not printed anymore for the 993. A good deal on used one can be attractive ...

One of these days I'm going to scan my manual into a PDF file. That should help those in a temporary bind.

High Rider,

I tried to get in touch with you in two ways, your CP didn't allow me to send you a note, I also send you an e-mail, since I no response for so long, I assumed you didn't want it... Then I posted a note on the RL, I still had no answer.

Sorry, it went to somebody who was "second in line". Too bad, I suggest either E-Bay or to try Gernman Auto Dismantlers, they seem to have some 993 for disassembly.

I am really sorry this"deal" went sideways!

I hate it when i have to disappoint a fellow Renn Lister,

Enjoy your new ride and I hope you can find a manual, oh BTW, you may also try Sunset Imports in Beaverton, Oregon with the part number that somebody supplied on this List.

All the Best,

Bert

I got my owner's manual on Ebay about 2 1/2 years ago for $40-50 I think. As I recall it wasn't easy to run down. LA Dismantlers wanted $150 for one so they probably still have it.

Also don't forget DC Automotive (Google them). I've not gotten literature from them but have dealt with them on hard parts.

Hi, after years of dreaming and gawking at 993s I finally picked mine up yesterday (1995 993 yellow with Turbo rims). On the way back, I too had the red light with exclamation mark come up. No idea what it was but it seemed to go off after I hit the button on the centre console with the same exclamation mark.

Grateful if a fellow Rennlister could shed some much needed light!
Thanks heaps.

The red light in the center that can be switched off is linked to other smaller lights. It will even go on when you're running on reserve. To get an answer, you need to tell us which other light went on.
I can scan you my owners manual (its for a US 95 model) if you want one but it'll be a few weeks till I can do that (car in storage right now and I have vacation plans).

Hi does anyone know if the owners manual for the 993 is the same for all years/countries? I bought a 95 cab New Zealand model several months ago and the dealer said they are out of print. I bought Adrian Streather's Essential companion but there are a few areas where he says look in the owners manual. I just put a bid on a 97 US model manual on ebay. Cheers
