Default Victory Motor Cars Experience

I wanted to share with you my recent experience with Victory Motor Cars.
I found a 97 C4S that was advertised to be in pristine condition with records, new tires and the 60k service just being completed on ebay about 4 weeks ago. When I realized the seller was Victory, I thought about moving on to find another car. After further thought I decided to proceed with caution. I sent Victory and email explaining I would be interested in the car but not interested in bidding on ebay. I made an offer of fair market value and told them if they were interested to please contact me. After 2 emails, I agreed on a price subject to a PPI being completed by Mike Callas @ RennSport. Being Mike was a bit busy, we agreed the car would be delivered to Mike 6 days later. The car was promptly delivered on the 6th day and then awaited his findings. Late in the day, I received a call from Mike explaining the car was in great condition with only a few minor items needing attention. After 1 phone call with Robert Neal at Victory, we agreed how to handle these minor items and I mailed him a check after receiving a copy of the title. Mike completed the work on the car and I arranged to fly to Houston and drive the car back with my son. Mrs. Callas picked us up at the airport last Friday and delivered us to the RennSport shop. I was happy to see the car and was able to now confirm the car was in fact in great condition. After having lunch with the Callas's we begin our trek home. We arrived home after 26 hours of driving over the course of 2 days. The car didn't skip a beat. Now after selling my original 96 C4S back in 2000, I am back in the air-cooled fold.
So, based on my Victory experience, I can only say the transaction went smoothly and without a hiccup.

My son and I did have a great time. He drove about 700 miles of the trip and being he is off to College in August this did give us time together before he leaves the house.

Congrats, Charlie! Glad to hear you had a good experience. Are you going to race it or is this just a street car?

Outstanding. I would not hesitate to buy any car from anyone if Tony did a PPI on it and said it was good to go. Enjoy.

Mark, whats up, haven't seen you in a while. This car will be a street car lightly driven most of the time by my wife.

Tony is the Torrance California, Callas Rennsport Callas. Mike is the Sealy Texas Rennsport Porsche Works, Callas.

Mike is Tony's Dad and as they say: the acorn didn't fall far from the tree. They are both great mechanics. I had the pleasure of working with both of them at the same time. What an experience that was It's ALL GOOD.

I would agree, although this was Mike Callas, Tony's dad. Tony is in L.A. Both are among the best to be found anywhere.

It sure is refreshing to hear something nice about Victory every once in a while!

Thanks for posting a good experience. I have never used them, but they definitely get a bad rap on here so it is good to hear both sides of the story.
