Last week I purchased a beautiful '96 Cab w/48k 6-Speed want you all to see it first.
Some of you know that I am in the retail auto business and have been my entire life but only mention cars I am going to retail when I think its something special enough. Over the years I have bought and sold a number of 993 cars. Nice cars that are bone stock and without a story have gotten virtually impossible to find (except on here)
I was able to buy an extremely nice 1-Owner, perfect carfax 1996 Carrera Cab w/48k and a 6-Speed. Grand Prix White/Midnight Blue Partial/Midnight Cabriolet Top. 17'' Cup II's w good rubber all around. Factory Options: Seats are Full Power, the wheels have the orig.Crest Caps which have faded over the years, and it has Cruise Control. All the options you need. I will tell you that the 'Partial Leather' interior cars (MUCH more durable then Full and or Supple interior cars overall)-like this one sure seem much fresher with the test of time. I was told the top is a 'couple' years old. It looks pretty fresh.
For now the car isn't listed for sale or advertised anywhere but here and is kept at my home in the very full garage for me to play with, within the next 10 days or so I will advertise it nationally like everything else. This is my fave site to visit and I know I was lucky to come across this car and wanted to first offer it to a fellow RL member. Please ask me anything you want, if I can find out I will. If (as we all should) you want a PPI done by a specialist or dealer you are welcome to it.
Here are some pics of it as I purchased it. Literally all I have done is put fuel in and washed it off and driven it a couple hundred miles since last Thursday. Plaza Porsche sold it new, and Parktown did all the work on it for its entire life. It has been in St.Louis since day one. Books and many but not all records I have in my hands. I am changing the oil, ordering fresh stone guards and likely crest caps in the next day or so.
Valve Guides were done by Parktown at 43,060 miles in 12/06. It cost $6574.10 to be exact. Over the years all of the expensive Cab top mechanicals; motors, cables, modules, etc have been replaced as well.
Negatives: Slight wear on driver seat bolster, not sure if I should leave it alone or not. Hood and Engine Cover struts need replacement, and by far the most annoying are that the Stone Guards are discolored and will be ordered tomorrow.

Congrats to you on a nice find and for being up front about your business and intentions, unlike some around these parts lately. Sounds like a great car.

Why not follow the forum rules and post a price?

The office is located in South City the car is in Creve Coeur. Also, forgot to post a price since its a rule.... I am going to say $38,993 It will likely be advertised on Autotrader and Cars.com for just under 40k when I do that. I would rather pay too much for a car that I know has no stories and is documented then one that looks good and has been all around. If you look on ebay which I usually don't for these cars but just did for some guidence...the nice orig no mods cars bring the money, which is good for me since I think I was pretty strong with my purchase number. I never realized just how many really rough ones there are until now. This car exceptional.

Company name. I am a licensed Automobile dealer in the state of Missouri. You would be buying through the company and would be the second registered owner.

I have only been a paying member here for about 7 years, so if there are any other things I have neglected to mention, please don't hesitate to bring it to my attention. Its a nice car, have anybody in the world you want check it out to see for yourself. I realize once one admits to being in the business, everything is questioned because there can't be real Porschiphiles in the car business. This is why I can count the number of times I have offered a car on here in the 7 years during which time I have realistically had in the neighborhood of 5000-6500 retail units.
