That's $30 less total (including all those accessories) than B+H Photo Video in NYC (premier seller and authorized dealer, etc..) I wonder who the reseller on eBay is? Have fun when it arrives and post some videos....

Who's abused a Contour? I'm sure it's great if: 1. it's inside a car, or 2. you're a pro and never take a tumble. But I know of three Contours that got trashed on the hill over the winter. Not necessarily because of them being Contours, just that they were all side-of-helmet mounted and "oops" happened. I didn't mind doing that with my non-HD 1st gen GoPro; not so sure I'm risking it when I crash hard on a board.

It's just the risk you take if the footage is important. Anything can break, anything can happen. I photograph in certain locales where a camera shouldn't be. I "abuse" my equipment all the time. I pretty much have to because the end result is only what it's about. Tools can be replaced. It's also why I carry an insurance rider (articles policy.)

Anyway it's all about where the priorities fit. Just like some folks worry about using their 993 as a daily driver, etc..

Any new findings regarding these or other HD video cameras? I like the design & support of the Contour, but find the lack of a screen, well, lacking.

Does anyone know if any of these cameras let you attache a bullet cam? My car doesn't have a rollbar so I have no convenient place to mount a mini-cam unless I want to remove it every time I park the car. TIA

Reposts of stuff from the last few weeks with the Oregon Scientific. I picked up a second one to run out the back. Might even put them facing both ways on my friend's Stohr at the next regional (last link, and not sure what camera he used).

I bought a Kodak Zi8. The big plus for me is ability to attach an external microphone. Without it a camera is fairly useless in a cab in my experience.
