Ken-- I'm on the 993 recycling program's waiting list.

Speaking of the thread on JPP's "S" cab:

For???

I almost recycled another one last week from an infrequent poster. Hanging out at my mom's between ski days, late at night scanning Craigslist. Figured I'd check the LA postings as we'd be heading (almost) through there on the way to Vegas a few days later. What pops up? A salvage title, sub 100K mile C4S for $29999 listed as in "Nor Cal". Huh? Check the phone number, and it shows as basically halfway between my mom's and the ski resort. Uh, have to check this out. Nice enough car for what it is, but all I could do was bottom feed him as: 1. I don't need another C4S, 2. my self imposed budget is what I sold the RSA for ($21K), 3. wife. I guess the car is being sold to a flipper out of LA who's shipping it back to its birth country.

Love it, "Recycling Program"

My C4S was purchased from kdurg who purchased a 997 and is very active on the 997 board. He checks in from time to time to see how the old girl is doing.

https://rennlist.com/forums/for-sale...-1997-c4s.html

I just read back thru the 5 page "tomorrow is the day" thread I started before I went to pick up the car.

https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...s-the-day.html

It gave me goose bumps all over again!

I just spent the last two night's detaling it for Hershey. This car, and this forum...YOU FRICKING PEOPLE, bring me loads of satisfaction.

This place, you people..RULE

I kept up with Kelly for a few years after the purchase, but we eventually lost touch. Bummer, cause he was a really nice guy.

Great car, defiantly an advantage of being on here(rennlist), whether buying first, second, or third 993/other p-car. I remember him posting a lot and he seemed to be very particular on the upkeep/improvement of your car.

I CAN spend whatever. Kicking around going all-in to build another 910 so we have something ready for Rennlist Reunion, even if just to display. The limit is self-imposed. Tough selling to Karen as she's the only one in the family effectively working. California is dead, business-wise, and unless we go for the commuter marriage I don't see myself making any money (outside of passive income) until we leave.

I bought mine from Chris Walrod. Great guy in every way, including to buy a car from.

I didn't know much about Chris yet so I thought I needed a PPI. What a waste of time and money that was. Not only that, but Chris was kind enough to resist the inspection tech's offers to buy the car from under me.
