Your problem is that you like nice stuff.
Take care, Tony

I'd love to do this now, but need a spare wheel for that kind of turn around time. I was going to hold off till fall. If we can come up with some spare wheels, I'm in.

I have a spare 3-spoke wheel that I'm looking to sell. Albeit I'm 1500 miles away from the car, wheel and all this wonderful stuff till the end of March.

If this is still going on, who do I send the wheel to? Is there a bulk shipment from US scheduled or send to them directly?

There's nothing currently going on. I'm semi-thinking of another group in April or May, we'll see. The first one went pretty well and I have an extra 3-spoke wheel, so I've been considering it.

If someone else wants to do the logistics, I'd be able to help with any and all details I've learned so far on the first group buy.

The best way to handle things is to get the group defined with exact details of needed work for each wheel. Each person then sends their wheel to Europe separately. Once done, one person pays for all wheels via PayPal and they all get shipped together to the States. Finally, the group coordinator calculates price of each wheel plus fraction of shipping cost to US plus UPS shipping cost back to the owner, collects the money from everyone and ships the wheels out. At least that's what I did.

Others may modify it by trying to collect money upfront, etc. There's about a 10% labor and materials discount on a group of 3-5 wheels, maybe 12% on group of 5-10. That's a nice little saving, but the real saving is in shipping them together back from Europe. There's a bit of work and running around involved with all the logistics, so this is to be done with clear understanding that this is simply paying it forward (or just paying for everything I've gotten from Rennlist and rennlisters over the past 8 years).
