Keep your 997 for drop top days and daily duty rain or shine.
Dump the 964. The 993 is the replacement you want for your air cooled keeper.
Having a 964 and a 993 are too much the same. Unless you are a collector and do not care, the 964 will be parked for ever next to a 993 when it comes time to grab the keys. Think of a 993 as a better 964.
It would be like buying a 996 and a 997. Why bother with a 996?
For a 993 purchase, consider the color interior and exterior you can live with, and look for the lowest mileage non modified example you can find for you budget.

Thank you. That's what I've been saying. The 997 is a brilliant car. But for me now it's just too easy to drive ant not exciting. Unless of course I'm doing a silly amount of speed. I simply want the involvement and engagement of what Porsche was every day.

How much are you looking to get your 997S for?
After seeing this post, I (just a little bit) toying with the idea whether I should upgrade my Narrow body (1995) C2 for your 997S.
My car is pretty much stock except for the Fister Stage 2 exhaust and lowered using the ROW Spring. My car is in prestine condition. I am also located in NJ.
By the way, my car is Polar Silver with Marble gray interior. The car currently has 41K +/- miles.
I am attaching the picture for you to review. If the price is right for me, I might be parting it =)
pm me if u need more info

Hello all,
I've had a 997 C2S cab as my daily driver for a while and I've recently acquired a 964 RSA. The 964 completely turned my head around as to what a 911 should be. I've decided to go air cooled only with my life. Thus I'm seeking a 993 coupe to replace my 997. I've a budget in the mid 40k range. So any out there who might wish make a move on your 993 or know a great example I would very much appreciate the help. I'd also like to say this board has been a great source of information and enjoyment and cemented my intent to obtain a 993. Thanks to all.
Regards,
T.

Hi T.
Can't believe I am actually posting this but I am going to be putting my 993 up for sale very soon. Here is some information:
1996 C4
Mileage = 28,500
Color = Black on Black
Bone Stock except for the addition of OEM 993 Hollow Spoke Turbo Twist
Outside Appearence = 9 out of 10. No dents or dinks. Usual tiny chips on front bumper
Inside Appearence = 9.5 out of 10.
Bought car from Holt Motorsports in 2007. Only reason I added that is because most people on this site recognize that Holt is one of just a few trusted and respected dealers known for selling only top quality 993s
Serviced annually by certified Porsche mechanic
No issues whatsoever since purchase
Price $40,000
I am in NJ also. Not sure where you live (North or South) Email if you would like pictures or to discuss more.
