A friend of mine just bought a down draft paint booth and he's itching to get back into the swing of painting...My white 993 track car may be his first... Riveria Blue? Hmmm.

blue interior was a pricey option. I like it on a classic.

the indication of the VIN picture would lead me to believe that this car decoded would show it is a true blue car.

You've got to be pretty desperate for a RB coupe to buy that one, and unfortunately, the seller knows it.

I really like the blue 993 interior, especially white ones, but it sure as hell doesn't work with RB.

Not really, I was just speculating why a car this colour would have the clashing blue interior. After I looked again, the out of the way places like the engine bay are in Riviera. It's just that having the blue interior really doesn't work with the exterior and wonder why anyone would order a car like that. I suppose there's no accounting for taste sometimes - my grandfather had his moss green pickup painted burgundy with the yellow/green/tan interior. Yuk!

This car appears pretty beat...The TMU example in NJ seems like a much
better deal at 38K ( ~ even though that car is wayy overpriced as well)
Regardless of condition; Rivi's fetch some big bucks!

Ok, let me do some math. Take the CA $, divide by the US $, add a little for the unique color.......carry the zero......round to two decimal places.....hang on.....ok, I got it: that's a ridiculous price!

Many people claim to love Rivi Blue, and I'm sure they do, but not enough to pay a premium for it, it seems.

There has been a RLer's Rivi Blue cab for sale for awhile now. He listed it at $60K. It sat for weeks. Now it's at $55K. Still sitting.

Rivi Blue is a great color. Not great enough for people to pay a huge premium though, it would appear...

I'm a bit confused about RL etiquette:

If someone posts their own car for sale in the 993 forum (which should really be for technical discussions), it's not acceptable to comment on the price and criticize the car. However if a RL'r posts someone else's car on RL, then it's OK to do these things. Am I the only one questioning this inconsistency?

That's exactly the difference. It is apples and oranges. Someone (the owner of the car), in this case, has not paid for membership, and is not selling their car here. Someone else posted it. We comment on everything else, why not this?

All too often, people post "no affiliation" references to cars, parts, etc.-at least on the 911 board. I've given up commenting about that practice. You'll also notice that there are a lot of "OT" posts on the tech forum, and I've given up commenting about them.
