Default Couldn't wait any longer......

So the snow has finally almost melted away. Its been a very long, cold and snowy winter here in Calgary but today it was decently warm. Alot of the snow melted away but the roads are still pretty wet. Figured I'd finally fire up the beast as its been sitting in the garage, unstarted since the beginning of November. Unplugged the trickle charger, put the key in the ignition and fired it up. It literally started the same as it would if I had driven it 15 minutes prior. Instantly!!! No weird noises or smoke at all. Woo Hoo!!!! Strong oil pressure, no lights on the dash. Things are good!!!

Damn it was great to drive again. Forgot how much I loved the car. She's going in for its 60K service (only has 51k) on friday. Will have the Fister stage III's installed at the same time. Once it gets back I will be installing the 996 TT hollow spoke wheels and a full polish done. Looking forward to driving it daily again!

Just wanted to share!

Its like getting a new car every spring. I'm probably another week or two away up here. I'm not sure I can get it out of our back alley.

I can't believe you guys have to put your cars into hibernation every year.
We get to use ours when ever we want way down here.

maiden voyage of the year on Saturday. Been pretty much going somewhere with it everyday since then.

Parking at work just sucks too much right now to even consider yet. Just soo nice to be back in it, the sights, sounds, smell's.

Hard to believe I can have that much fun in a car just lumbering along with the masses. Almost feels like it's illegal, immoral, or unethical to be having THAT much fun while driving.

I can't believe you guys...put your cars into hibernation...993man
If you imagined Invercargill being 15 degrees further south, and 3,500 feet higher, it would have about the same weather Calgary has. The temps here can get down to -30C.

While you could get a 993 started on most winter days, even without a block heater, the road conditions are just nasty.

You occasionally do see liquid cooled Porsches out, in winter.

It's horrible! This winter in Charlotte, we had at least 20 nights where it got below freezing.

Global warming, my azz!

For real...we had snow on the streets for a week here in Atlanta this winter. That is the longest my 993 has ever sat still. The horror.

I have been voting for Global Warming for years now, and it hasn't done me any good.....
