Dirty car, but these are 997 5-spokers with the same offsets, 285/30 in the back, RS height. I am also running 5mm spacers in the front; I would highly recommend doing this as well.

I had to do some pretty aggressive rolling in the back, not so much on the DS, but on the PS. My car (like many 993s) seems to have the body offset to the DS by just a bit.

Re: 19" vs 18" wheel/tire set weights:

Maybe this is just a rationalization, but bear with me a moment. If the overall tire height is close to the same for the 18" set, vs the 19" set, and of course the wheels are 1" larger, then it stands to reason that the tires themselves will have less mass, with a smaller section width to yield the same overall height. The tire rubber is VERY heavy, in comparison to alloy wheels (except for my Ruf wheels), so while the 19" wheels may be a bit heavier than their 18" equivalent, the tires will be somewhat lighter. Are lighter tires more beneficial to cornering performance than lighter wheels?

Problem is, 99% of 993's with 19" use the wrong size tires thus creating this undesirable feel.

Hmm wheel weight? I can tell you my stock 17" targe wheels weighed a lot more than my my02 18".

The lobster/ crab fork weigh 27.? Lbs. I think these with tires are equal if not lighter than stock targa wheels. Rumor has it they put heavier wheels on the targa to offset the weight of the heavy roof. Let me search on targa wheel weight.

I read it on here believe it or not....that doesn't make it true. But I do know the targa wheels felt heavy as snot with tires compared to my02's.

Give me a sec.... Searching for the weight of targa wheels

Can't find targa wheels, but turbo solid spoke 18's are hevier by about 1.5 lbs at 29.2.

So all and all not a hevier wheel than most stock 18" Porsche wheels on 993's. With that said, I don't think the weight will effect my suspension.
