Who has best price on beefy sway bars?
Looking for thicker sway bars for my 993 C2S and planned on going with a pair of 993 turbo parts. (To keep all Genuine OE) Noticed H&R bars are considerably thicker...
Does anyone have info on who sells them for the best price?
Thanks in advance.

Not sure you have your heart set on the H&R setup, but you should also consider the TRG bars. They're much closer in size to the OEM RS bars.

Probably should do these too with your new stance: http://store.trgparts.com/993-rs-dro...px?Thread=True

I've got H&R sways and PSS10s with about 5000 miles on them. They are good on the street and were fine on a DE (an amateur's opinion). I want to try M030 bars out of curiosity. I still need the front bar. If you're interested in the H&Rs just PM me.

Technical question about the bigger sway bars here.
Does the thicker sway bar increase the spring rate of the suspension in the case of running over a rock which causes compression only on one side of the car?

Three Wheelin'
I put TRG bars on my car with RS links (a must if you want full adjustment of the rear bar) and I love them. Btw, I bought the RS drop links from Sunset - just under $300 to my door.

Long answer...the point of ARB's is to be part of the suspension compromise between having a spring rate one can live with in everyday driving and the pursuit of a "flat" car while cornering. The bigger the ARB the flatter your car will corner...i.e. the more prescise and sporty it will feel; however, the downside is when you hit a bump with one wheel while driving straight down the road you feel that bump in the other wheel as well since the ARB is linked to the other strut. To put it in a racing context...if a driver knew he was going to race on a very bumpy and poor surface he might consider a car setup with softer springs and larger ARBs...why? Because too stiff a spring would mean he is hopping around the track giving up traction when the tire leaves the surface. By having a soft enough spring the car can absorb the surface keeping tire on the ground. The thicker ARBs would come into play when entering a corner as it would keep the car flat (similar to if the car had stiffer springs). The same logic would apply if that same driver knew he was racing at a glass smooth track, he might choose to use a stiffer spring and smaller ARB.
