Don't know if it happens over the water but here in the UK I have seen that colour described as 'aventura' green, looks really nice.

BTW, there are at least 3 Aventurine Green Paintcodes for the 993 that I am aware of: K6K6, 39R and 39S/K6. I have two touch-up bottles (39R and 39S/K6) and cannot tell the difference in color.

Mostly written as "Aventurine", but I've seen the factory alternately call it "Aventure" or "Aventura", which I think are non-English language spellings.
<------ In this avatar, it appears a little bluer. The picture below is close to how it looks most of the time. As others mentioned, it depends on the light and other things around it. One friend of mine has never seen the green in it at all- he thinks it's an unusual grey shade. From the pictures the seller sent me at the time, it looked straight-up blue, which I think came from the grey painted cement floor on which it was pictured. I get lots of questions and compliments on the color. There aren't many of them around. Up until two years ago, mine was the only one in the San Antonio area. Now there are two.

I think the styling department was alluding to the greenish/grey hues of rock ...

(Appologies, Mark, for the late pile-on, I see you've already done your 'mia culpa's ...:-)
