Default Draft from inside door handles

Went for an early Connecticut drive this morning when it was a bit chilly outside - about 30. Both my son and I noticed that there was a cool breeze/draft coming from behind the inside door handles. Is this common?

The air that comes in through the door handles is designed to exit from the sunroof drains and thus provide downforce at speeds exceeding 30 mph.

There is a tsb for this but it didn't do my car much good. A very inelegant but effective solution is to stuff half a shop towel in each side around the rod

Yeah, its hard to stop that little draft that hits you on the side of the leg. The TSB calls for a piece of felt around the pull rod for the door latch...does not work. I have not tried the rag trick...maybe next time the doors are apart! :-)

Never noticed any door air drafts in my Cab with the top down...or up.

Then again, what do I know, I'm just a cab owner taking about air drafts.

no door disassembly needed.

Just take a scott shop towel...tear it in half.

Pull the inner handle like you're opening the door, and stuff the rag in that hole around the rod. (wow, that um, didn't sound as sexual in my head)
