Looks like a matching set of weird colored crack pipes to me. Probably not far from the truth is a wider social and financial sense.

32lb at 43.5psi, 37lb @ 55psi, these are good for 400hp at a duty cycle of 80%...

I can help you there, spent plenty of time with 912's and 914's engine wise basically the same.

Its an analog ecu by the way (the guy behind the wheel!!)

Good to know Steven. The modding on the 993 will likely take a pause if I can get my hands on a 356. By the way, the installation of the close ratio box made me think about leaving the engine alone (at .least for this year).

Hi Steven. Can you use the factory fuel rail upto and beyond that specification or is there a point where you need to change that to? I assume with your new Link equivalent ECU you can program for the extra flow etc. You would mate these with higher RPM, lighter stronger springs and rtainers, a wilder cam etc correct?

Cheers

Hey Macca, No changes needed to fuel rail etc. The ecu will match injector pulse to match the AFR target set in the software, in the case of the bigger injectors the Injector pulse is just shorter than the stock injectors.

From a fueling perspective I will be able to handle the wilder cam easily

Gotcha. So what do you think the factory injectors handle infactory spec condition? Im guessing at least an RS cam as the 993RS uses the same injectors the PET is telling me. My assumption is your aftermarket ECU is allowing you go to a higher spec injector as you can program for it whereas my Motornics is assuming a factory injector? At what point do you choose a larger injector (apart from Tubro or Supercharger conversion)?

Sorry for all the Qs.

Cheers
M

No worries on the Q's.

Some say the stock injectors are good for upto 350hp, but when you plug in the stock specs into any calculator they can only support this at 100% duty cycle.

I chose injectors that would provide me with capacity at 80% duty cycle so not to tax the injectors.

Interesting - thanks Steve. So if say was shooting for 320bhp with standard injectors what % of duty cycle would I be running? (I dont know the forumla sorry).

Im running factory Motronic with Steve Wong custom chip for my DC21-114 and I very much doubt they will make over 310bhp on a "relaistic" dyno - but Im interested for future reference. I assume many change to 993TT injectors or ones like yours with Motec or LINK whe aiming for 320+ bhp...

Cheers
M
