Batphone Console Installed
For the longest time I have wanted the elusive Batphone Console. I bought one from a fellow Rennlister and spent the weekend installing and modifying it.
I have an Alpine iDA-X305 head unit and just upgraded to the iPhone. The nice thing about the install is the iPhone plays the iPod, podcasts, videos and my Pandora radio app through the head unit. The iPod while plugged up also charges. I also added the Alpine KCE-400BT Bluetooth Interface which lets me answer the phone with a touch of a button on the radio and the phone conversation plays through the speakers.
I kept everything original on the Batphone Console and mounted the iPhone so it can be easily removed at a later date. I have the original Porsche analog phone as well. Here are the pics of the install. Still need to do a detail for the Spring and add key lighting and floorboard lighting.
I forgot to add that many thanks go to e3photo for the camera work. I couldn't take a picture if my life depended on it.

The right knee room was a worry of mine but the way it is made the consoles widest point is the face. It pulls in as it goes under the dash. It has the same mounting points as the carpeted console. As far as the install, yes a PITA I removed the seats and it was still tedious.

It turned out nice Mike. I had never seen one before getting to photograph this one, and I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of crowding. I had read where it cramped your legroom, but I didn't find that to be true. Your car is incredible.

It's amazing how poorly some people address pricing objections. Often the buyer offends the seller so a deal is not struck.
Mike on the other hand was reasonable to work with.
