Just stumbled across this thread, so now my head is spinning....

I have to say, a candy red with clear looks very nice.

That candy red is hot! Very nice! However, I thought you were going to do all the work yourself?

Do you want them clear coated? I'm digging the red "wrinkle" finish.

Love that finish as well, but it would be an absolute brake dust magnet...

yeah, you are right...but nothing that a couple of ounces of Xenit and few minutes underneath a hovering 993 could't fix.

That candy red gets my vote. Looks great and not the ubiquitous Guards Red calipers. Apologies in advance to red caliper owners, but its been done.

Andreas, based on that thread Candy Apple red looks very good. But I think that what would look spectacular on Silver car is Copper color. The same finish as the above mentioned Candy red, but in copper, like the exterior color of modern Infiniti FX.

Let's hear your thoughts. (I'm leaning towards yellow....)
Andreas
If you will be using VHT paint (brand), I prefer not to paint the logo through stencils.
Instructions on the Can IIRC, advise not to exceed 30 or 40 ? minutes between coats.
If you are going primer-paint-clear, the sticker is better, neater, and less hassle
Having done several sets, sticker is my choice.
On mine today, the fronts are stickers and rear are stenciled.
the font lines on the stenciled calipers is not neat, even though I took really care to do it right. But before curing completely, the painted logo edge paint moves a bit or gets mixed with the caliper paint
If sticker is under clear coat, it acts exactly like paint.
If chipped, they will become exactly like the chipped painted logos, they loose the part were the chip is. People imagine the whole letter is going to fly off

Since 2006 with powerwashers, heat etc, stickers doing great, no chips
my personal opinion, regards

Yet another good suggestion.

Very good points - thank you! Any sign of that which is causing me great concern?
