Andreas -
If you're leaving on the "twistes" I would say silver with black stenciling or black with silver stenciling...nothing dramatic, just some subtlety to pique interest. I'm going to do my Cup II wheel centers stahl grau (think Vesuvius C2S) this summer to compliment the black metallic. Whatever you decide I'm sure it will turn out beautifully, as you're a true craftsman.

I voted for cosmoline. I'm sure there are a few traces of that left in some obscure place somewhere...

Seriously though, I voted black. Your car is so clean and original looking that the stock black finish suits it best. Just my 2 pennies.

Your car is so nice, I would not go mucking around with it..... Refinish to pristine condition and leave well enough alone.
Have you looked at it recently? That junker is far from pristine.

Traces? Nah. Handfuls would be a better descriptor.

See Rennlisters "Bradford" for a polar silver with blue calipers (and matching blue seatbelts). It looks great on his car. Yellow is GREAT on arena red, and not at all bad on polar. Red works on everything (but arena red). Black and Silver are simply too dull for my own personal taste.

This. Perfect on a silver car.

Would love to do mine in blue, but I don't think it would go well with adventurine green. When it come time, I think I'll do brembo gold.

Cheers,
Joe
