And some of us purposely seek it out................... Though I have to say today was one of the windiest I've ever experienced on the mountain--actually got blown over making a leisurely turn. (On skis, not the car.)

Obligatory really crappy photo, not sure why the Blackberry defaulted to 800X600 mode. Hard time standing up to take the photo, too!

Almost looks like you put that photo through the PhotoShop paint filter. I'd be really happy if I saw a ski rack-shod 993 in the snow.

It's so cold here, that I switched my Subaru over to synthetic oil...

It almost eliminated that worrisome start up tappet noise.

Default ...took a mid week sneak...

Well, we're being rewarded for our cold winter with the best spring skiing conditions in 41 years. Sunshine Village, which straddles the Great Divide, got 150 cm in April.

So on Wednesday we went up to enjoy the good stuff. The group on Lookout Mountain; Mount Assiniboine is in the clouds to the south:

Goats Eye Mountain, above Ewe First, with The Eagles and The Saddle in the background:

We had a nice lunch on the deck of the Chimney Corner, my favourite restaurant:

It was a perfect day on near perfect snow, so a repeat trip on Monday is in order.

Hmmm, we had one of the coldest April's on record in Vancouver, but no snow...its too warm for that. But its raining again today.....and it was raining yesterday....and the day before.....its supposed to be cloudy/sunny tomorrow, lets see. However, I least I can take my car out in the rain, so that is a bonus!

Within the last couple of weeks I've seen cars from Coquitlam with a dusting of snow in the morning. Not much at all but still. And this f^*%$'n rain is getting old!

I should say we have had a few very nice days but it seems about 90% require a warm jacket and umbrella. Oh, when I had the 97 out last Sunday my windshield (only 2years old) got a nice rock in it, complete with a 3" crack.

Noticed the crack while sitting in Al's driveway.......about 20mins after you and Charlie left. I remember hearing the rock hit the windshield but thought I got away with it. I was wrong.

When did it start? J/K. Hope you get some nice spring weather soon and not all of the rain that some folks are getting.

Wow Tim, sorry to hear about the rock. That's why I keep putting off getting a new one, I know I'll get a fresh chip w/in a week (just my luck).

We'll be 90+ for the next couple of days, 15 deg above normal, but should be back down to 70's by Fri. (hopefully). I'm sure summer is going to be a hot one.
