For those who may want the entire mag, you can order it on backissues.com--its around $10.

Damn it! I just through out a dozen or so boxes of old magazines (C/D, R/T, M/T) and thought I saved the ones with the "cool car" articles. Forgot about that one.

I remember reading those articles back in 1994, and then going out and buying my first 993 in January 1995. It was a red/tan c2 w/LSD and not much else. The 993's were not selling well then. After a test drive, I sat down with the salesman at Haywood Clarke Porsche (Rich Wells) and offered him 95% of MSRP. He rejected my offer and sold me the car for less, which was about 10% off of MSRP. Later, in May of 1996, Rich told me how the 993's were now hot cars and how much they were getting for used ones. I traded in my '95 with 25k miles along with my '89 silver anniversary cabriolet for my current car. Thanks for posting those articles, which are bringing back fond memories.

I've got the very first test of the 993 in Europe by R/T written by the author with comments by Paul Frere who was with him. I've got a new computer coming next week. I'll scan it then and pop it on here.

I'll scan the article once I get the magazine.

The avatar's a homage to the black/orange RSA I used to have. It was a very special car...

No one happens to have the first 993 C2 test drive article do they?? I believe it had a beautiful speed yellow 993 in the front cover... That article forever hooked me on these cars and why I got one.

Got the magazine on Tuesday, but I've been busy and just now got a chance to scan it. Reading C&D from 15 years ago was a great blast from the past, thank you Carl! BTW, there is an unused coupon for America Online inside, if anybody wants it please PM me.

And in the front there is a mention of the impending 993TT. I thought the spy shot was cool:

Thanks for the scan - very much appreciated.

I am pretty sure that those are the fastest 0-60 times (4.7 for C2 and 4.9 for the C4) that I have ever seen for our cars.

I wonder how those clutches were doing afterward.
