Default Does anyone know this 993 C4S at Truspeed

Hi I am looking for a 96-98 Yellow C4S in Speed Yellow or Fly Yellow and wanted to know if anyone knew anything about this car at Truspeed.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NOT-Y...aa0#vi-content

Also if anyone has any leads on other 993 C4S in Yellow shoot me a PM.

Thanks

Corey

Hardbacks! Motor Sound!

I wouldn't spend $52K on any NA 993. Too close to Turbo money.

I actually took a serious look at that car. It has an accident on carfax, but seems to be simply a repaint of the front bumper (they have a receipt showing $400 in repairs from the same time frame, so they surmise that was what it was). But, at $52k, I want a no-stories, accident-free car with more service records. But that may just be me. But, I was still tempted (and think about it every now and then).

Meh. I spent $12k more than that for a 993 C4S w/ 9,000 miles. A big chunk of change, no doubt, but I still prefer a naturally aspirated car. If you're not taking it on the track, then I'd contend that there IS a "ceiling" in terms of how much power you can realistically utilize on a day-to-day basis. For me, a low miler 993 NA is worth the $, because I'm not getting a lot in value from that extra 115HP...just more hassle and more $ to maintain. Just my $0.02. As to the car in question in this thread, I'd contend that it might be priced a tad high (at least using my car as a reference). It's not particularly loaded up (though it's not exactly shabby), it's a lower miler, but not a low-low miler. Again, if my car is a useful reference point for the OP, have a look: https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...ml#post8232860

typical Truspeed pricing. IMHO, that's a $43-44K car tops. Hardbacks/motor sound/X option shifter & ebrake handle are very nice also.

Color add's some rarity though.

Still, no way full asking price. Lack of complete history, and accident record drops it down. And as stated, mileage isn't that low either.

They do get nice cars though..when I was looking they always had a half dozen C4S's...all priced WAY up there.

i have seen it. that car is close to factory perfect. the only thing that seems a bit different, is that the deck lid (grill) corrected) is not color matched for a C4S. you think the OP didn't select that option?

you mean the grill not being color matched?

C2S-body colored split grill

C4S-black one piece grill

great mod to either paint stock grill, or slap a split grill on there, looks great on any 993 IMHO

Asofine,

Nice find car looks great.

I am going to pull the carfax today but Autocheck looked good but I know you got to do both these days. I have owned a 993 C4S in Fly Yellow a while back, wonder where that car was. I actually traded it in to Truspeed about 4 years ago for a 97 SY Turbo. In reality I should of just kept that C4S. If anyone knows of another Yellow 993 C4S or would want to sell, let me know.

I was looking for a lower milage C4S for a long time and ended up with a 1997 Speed Yellow with 40k miles around a year ago. Based on my experience this car at TruSpeed should be $47k if it was fully documented and with clean car fax. If not, probably $43k or so. It has been for sales for a good 6+ months. But, it truely is a beatiful color...

I have seen it. It is totally beautiful. Factory fresh and totally stock.

Full Disclosure - I am Truspeed's IT consultant. I am at Truspeed at least once a month.
