Thoughts on value of 993 Cab Tip?
I am in the hunt for a 993 cab tip. A few are on my radar.
This one popped up and want your views on fair pricing for this example.
1998 993 Cab Tiptronic.
2 (maybe 3) owner.
"Dark" blue exterior, tan interior
Some minor paint work on front left fender.
New tires
Maintained by the local Porsche dealer
No mods
Owner in his early 70s. Nice but not an enthusiast.
Bought it 5 years ago and put about 35K miles on her.
50,000 miles on her now.
Asking price is $41,750. Non negotiable!!
What do you think.
Thanks
Mark

Wow, that is a pretty aggressive price Mark. I think you can do much better than that unless this is the EXACT and only car you want. Did that Polar Silver w/ black interior in ATL pan out?

On the radar and might ask you to do a Rennfax if it progresses to the next level. Another "helping my father sell his car" situation and the drivers seat looks like it needs a good redye. Also, an accident on carfax but that is not a deal breaker. Just not priced right for condition and marked carfax.
Hope all is well with you. I hear better weather is coming to Atlanta. It was 26 degrees this morning in NYC. I will be in town next week but my schedule is simply out of control. I would like to meet up the next time.
Regards,
Mark

my absolute favorite color combo!!! but that price for a tip? and bone stock it appears. there is a limited market for tippy 993s and the price should reflect that. good luck

Remember, one's power in a negotiation comes from your ability to say no. He can ask whatever he wants, but you, the buyer, have the "ultimate" power. You have to agree to a price.

Would you pay more for a manual? No, that's not what your searching for.
Use the carfax issue to negotiate the price down.
Good luck.

Hey Mark,
Yes, weather in the ATL is good. Let me know when you are in town, and we'll take my tip for a spin. Happy to look at that other one if you want.

Mark, you know better than the rest of us that cab tips are not as desirable as say a C4S 6 speed. I agree with Ken, a bit too rich. (I'm surprised it even crept up on your radar)
