Default Gt2 Kit on daily driver

i love the look of the gt2 wide body. Has anyone put the gt2 kit on their 993 for daily driver and not track use? How does the fiberglass hold up?

It's going to be expensive to do it right with a quality body kit.
I'd weigh the options on cost to upgrade to another car...if there are other porsches that you would consider an upgrade

are you looking to build..or buy?
You do know of the stunning example below, right? Probably cost twice as much to build it yourself.

I was thinking of getting a high mileage 993 and adding a Getty wide body kit. I would look to upgrade performance, suspension and engine as needed. Not looking to do a true one to one gt2.

I was thinking around 12k. The kit is around 6k and I figured it would be around another 6k to get it fitted and painted. I know that I can get a nb 993 for around 25k and if you add the extra 12k that starts to get me closer to "s" model money. But I don't want to have to worry about affecting the value of the "s" model with other mods that I will want to do down the road. I do want to do some changes on the interior that would probably hurt the value. I've thought about buying a salvage but am turned off by the unknown condition and missing parts.

12K + 25K=37K...thats damn near the asking price of Thatcher's beautiful 993.

Add in the suspension goodness, and the other pieces-and that's your car-minus the apporpriate wing maybe.

What are you waiting for, that car is brandy new almost...and closer than you'll ever find to what your looking for.

Really, I mean really, think about it.

The GT2 flares wont work on a NB, you will need to start with a widebody (s)...... Personal opion, I think the wing looks to heavy on NB anyway..... Now, the 993 clubsport flares and wing will fit and probably get the look you want.

Dont forget the suspension and wheels, wings and flares just wont look right at SUV ride height....

Just my 2 cents
