Default Bra wanted - which one?

I'm looking for a vinyl bra for my 993. This will only be used on 1 or 2 trips a year in northern Wisconsin. A few of the roads are gravel and I wanted to add some front end protection this year. Otherwise, it won't be used. Are these 2 the same?

list the exact same part no. So I suspect the are the same.

Just becareful with it. Make sure you get it on correctly, and tight, tight, tight, and DO not leave it on the car for extented periods of time. And absoulutly take it off if it gets wet. It will kill the paint.

I have seen these bras do more damage than without a great many times from improper installation, getting too loose and flapping around, or for owners just too lazy to take them on and off always.

Clear bra.

Didn't know they even sold those old black vinyl dinosaurs.

Might try Sunset, hard to beat their prices. Automotion tends to have some pretty high prices.

If you're only going to use it a couple of times a year, consider road wrap. www.buyroadwrap.com

I have the Colgan and it fits very nice. Perfect for occasional use.

I also bought the two-piece Colgan 'custom' bra about 3 years ago.
It fit SO tight I needed an extra set of hands - the first time I put both pieces on - during installation.

+1 on 'sensible maintenance': do NOT wash the car with it on, if you drive in the rain then take it off to dry before re-installing, do NOT let any parts 'flap about', do NOT leave it sitting on the car for extended periods of time.

I put a layer of 'vinyl protectant' (e.g. Meguiars, Mothers, 303, etc.) on mine a couple of times during the year - and it makes it shine - so is commensurate with the rest of vehicle.

The fronts of our cars, coz they're so low to the ground, are veritable rock magnets. The bra part that goes on the HOOD - goes really far up -- and you will be thankful it does!!!

Later tater,
Gerry

Gerry has sage advice. I do the same with mine.

In a few years down the road when I re paint my car, I may invest in clear bra...
