Assuming no further issues, I plan to get the car out a bit more than last season!

I usually run with Track Daze but I may have to venture out of my comfort zone and try a few other groups.

I'm assuming you get out to Summit and NJMP quite a bit, right?

I also run with the track daze guys, but don't take the 993 to their Shenandoah events. I spend most of my track time at VIR these days.

That's probably a good move. I'm a bit sick of Shenandoah and it's a tough track on your suspension with the carousel and ski jump. Plus, I'm not particularly fond of the runoff (or lack thereof).

Believe it or not, I've never made it all the way down to VIR. I've been meaning to for years but just haven't been able to schedule the 4 days I'd basically need to make it there and back.

I decided to get another pair of locking collars for the hell of it. You can put them on from the bottom of the shock, correct?

Smile Tarrett Engineering Links

Very nice...and adjustable too. RS are great, but not adjustable.

I've come across your posts on the subject in a number of threads. If I break another set, I'm going to the Tarrett units.

Default Not on their payroll...

just like their products. They make lots of good stuff for the 993 suspension, similar products to what Cary Eisenlohr makes at ERP. ERP is NOT elephant racing...ERP makes really trick suspension pieces. I have their toe links.

No affiliation to Tarrett or ERP

no
unfortunately you need to remove the coilover from the car, remove the springs and DL mount, then install the locking collar and add all the bits you just removed.

please consider having another shop do the work if you do not DIY. The original shop was not your friend.

This photo shows P10's with Euro Turbo ARB and RS+10mm ride height.
any lower and you would probably need to route the ARB under the toe link.

good luck.

FWIW the additional locking collar is not required if the perch is oriented correctly.
However, there is nothing wrong with adding it... except the work and $ involved in another rear alignment

The shop fixed the drop link and reimbursed me for my additional cost. I let them know about tightening it down under load and so far after about 50 miles both drop links are holding firm. The first one barely lasted 10 miles...

Thanks everyone for your help. If I manage to break another one, I have a pair of additional collars for underneath the shock mount.

Sorry for going a bit off topic, but can the RS links be used with ROW ride height ?
