I'd rather take my chances then buy in to the name
dropping stories.
BTW, I've see your "advice" and help on other threads
and your on the same list. Run away, not walk from insightful
crap your pushing. Another wannabe know it all.

You may have some good points here, but your tone is a little inconsistent with how this board is generally conducted. Ken's a great resource. One day, you'll be crying in your garage, covered in oil and grease from some DIY gone wrong. More than likely, Ken will be one of the people who will be here with a reply and good solution to save your ***.

So this guy was nice to you 30 years ago and helped you out when you had a broken engine, for that reason we are suppose to
1. Care 2. Be scared to tell it it his face 3. Ignore his unrealistic article on 993 prices? Sounds like you are living in the past, and are in denial yourself. I'll be sure to add your name to his, on the list of peoples opinion I should most definitely ignore.

If you or anyone else have more knowledge than myself on these cars, and want me to conform or I may be holding a wrench, crying because my DIY project went
horribly wrong, your wasting your own time, not mine. That is a threat that holds no water here. Move on.

From what I heard/read, they get their values based on what has sold.
I'd like to know what method that article used.

The best source of information has to come from actual sales, condition, options, region, and time of year. Period.
As soon as someone can compile that "bit" of info , nothing is going to be too close to reality.

I suspect I won't be changing my attitude, because there is no attitude. I call it like I see it, just like anyone else on here.

From: Seattle xburb - I can't see the Emerald City, but I know it's out there somewhere
What would the grade of "avg" condition of an auction car be? I'd have to wonder.

I put in my 95 C4 into KBB and changed to leather seats and a CD changer and this price came up. I like the pricing better on KBB.
72,900 on the clock
Excellent $28,890
Good $27,890
Fair $26,190
