Default Porsche 993 Prices

These are the prices according to Exellence. I know most people here have probably seen them but I am wondering where they got these from? I have never seen any for sale with prices like these.

I dont think I have seen any 98 S in the $25K-$34K range at all. Prices are off by 25%

Just for fun check your Porsche value on the Kelly Blue Book web site. The value has gone up this year on their site..... http://www.kbb.com/used-cars

Well-worn topic. Search for "Bruce Anderson" and "prices."

His technical knowledge is good. Market knowledge, not so much.

except the cab prices... they are pretty close to reality, outliers excluded.

But the cab over coupe premium... why so much of a gap?

Wierd...

The 964 prices are actually in the ballpark. The 993 prices not so much

The Cab was higher priced than the coupe when new. I guess they just interpolate and depreciate with the same ratio for all the models.

However, regardless of the formula used, I think that BA needs to retire already and leave car pricing to others that know what they are really worth.

You mean, none. What is he smoking?

Good thing I don't subscribe to that magazine...what other info is incorrect?

I've thought a lot about this over the years and the only thing that makes sense to me is this:

Bruce loves 993s but is sadly unable to afford one. Using the power of the press, he attempts, year after year, to devalue them to fit his price range.

Even though his undervaluing prose are running on at least their tenth year, they have yet to produce to him a $25K 1998 993 S. So year after year he keeps trying, hoping that some day his dream of a wide body bought for pennies on the dollar will come true. You have to applaud the diligence. [/SARCASM]

Just got back from CES and haven't gotten my copy of this month's Excellence yet. Did they do pricing on the C4 and C4's as well?

As I said in an recent post, how many of you know Bruce? As in, could call him up, tell him who you are and he'd know you.................

That out of the way, and I don't have a copy of the issue handy, but let's establish the baseline for "good." Maybe my 133K C4S hits the mark. What's it worth? A little over a year ago, one "expert" here said I'd be lucky to get $24K for it. Another guy from the list here came over and balked at $30K. Many of you have seen the car in person. You guys can contemplate all you want about values, but be honest, most of you consider what I've got are very average 993s. And from what I see, pretty much par for the course.
