So, drove out along Skyline on Monday (company holiday for NYD) to take photos... only to find a Toyota Prius parked on the roadside. What was funny was (apologies if this describes anyone here) the three people inside looked like refugees from a Grateful Dead concert. Guess that makes the Prius the VW microbus of the 21st century, if you know what I mean. Anyway, they graciously agreed to move on once I explained I wanted to take photos. Hey, it’s Portland.
Hmm. It seem to me that 40+ years ago, the attendees (now refugees) of Grateful Dead concerts had the good sense to drive Porsche designed cars with engines sitting behind the rear axle, cooled by oil/air, driving the rear wheels. I had several. My first was a 1964 microbus. My present one is my 993 C4 Cab. Here is a pic of a famous 356 from back in the day.

When I went on Skyline on monday, there was a Toyota RAV4 just waiting there.
Maybe it's not just the Prius, but Toyotas in general, so you can go undercover!
