Also, FWIW, if you leave the key in the ignition, the immobilizer is bypassed (but your car may be gone).
Exactly, when the car has been left unlocked. Use the remote to open the door and there's no need to go through this process.

Yeah mine works that way as well however I would think that anyone who had owned a 993 with an imobilizer would have experienced having to use the immobilizer, hence knowing the procedure. They guy I bought my 993 from had no idea how the imobilizer worked. He just said to lock and unlock the door prior to starting everytime!

OP is from Canada. Possible his came without the immobiliser? Def. agree with getting a full charge on the battery. May not get enough juice from the cables to start.

Unless it was an option, no. My 06/1995 has the immobilizer.

Poor or dirty battery connections can also cause the clicking.

If the starter solenoid is clicking, he's beyond the immobilizer.

Yes, and in need of a battery charger or battery.

Has been said before. You either believe that it is an under voltage issue (most likely weak battery) or you are wasting time and money for the "fix".

It is quite easy to diagnose with a simple voltage meter ...
