Engine mount C2 or C4?

Engine mount C2 or C4?
I read a number of Engine mount threads, and one mentioned that it is possible to use the C4 mounts in a C2 as they offer a little more stiffness for the road without going as stiff as a Wevo or RS. Are the C2 and C4 mounts physically identical and has anyone done this?

I don't know the answer to your question. But I have the Wevos (blue) and love them. Find a car nearby with them and see if you can get a drive/ride. They are cheaper than OEM mounts, and your car will feel much better in the turns.

C4 mounts are full rubber, & slightly stiffer from stock, but not as stiff as the RS mounts.
You can't go wrong with any of them over the stockers.

The C4 mounts are actually cheaper from Sunset ($135) vs Wevos at $149.

Kind of off topic but I just went out to the garage to measure the difference in "height" of the RS and original C4 mounts, looks like if i just mount them straight in the RS mounts would lift the engine approx. 6-8mm compared to the original mounts.
I am thinking that this is not to good for the driveline of the C4 and i should try to make a space to lower the engine 4-6mm.
What are your thoughts on this ? anyone encountered the same difference in height between the different mounts ?
(Stealth 993, the C4 mounts are fluid filled)

I have C4 mounts on my C2 and they fitted with no mods and no ill effects. My gearshift is a lot more precise now also.
Some have said C2 mounts are longer than C4 ones but I'm not convinced. I think any difference in the two is down to the C2 mounts being old and stretched. Nobody has shown a new C2 Vs a new C4 that I've seen.

All, the difference between C2 and C4 mounts is 9 mm. There's a very similar thread going on for quite some time now about this issue.
The engine carriers are different between those 2. Mount the C4 in a C2 and the motor goes up by 9mm. Can't be good for the half shafts, shifter rod and possibly other components. Plus your CG goes up.

Although there are two engine carriers listed on PET, as I said on the other thread it appears to me C2 and C4 use the same one.
The 9mm you mention was a measurement taken from an old C2 mount was it not? We need someone with a brand new C2 mount and a brand new C4 to take some comparisons for us to be sure of any differences.
