Porsche Rauh Welt Or Sunburst?

I read an article on Rauh Welt a few weeks ago. I doubt he would sell a kit to modify a car; it is not the way he works. Before he modifies a car he meets with the owner several times; getting to know you. When you drop your car off, you don't give instructions. Based on the meeting, he modifies the car as he sees fit. You have to trust him, each car is different and each car is unique. He doesn't personally do the engine work, that is all outsourced to another shop. I agree these are more art cars, but they are still functioning Porsches. Some with some serious track based modifications.
Personally, I wouldn't buy a RWB car--I like things a little more subtile, but I do think they look cool.

I wouldn't cut my car up to make one, but i still think they have a special style that i can appreciate.

Love that we've brought this back from the dead.
Hey Ed, how about that ducktail on a torsion bar targa. One off, right? Oh wait........factory did it on a '74 Carrera. (Feels kinda silly to knock what the factory's done, huh?)
And back to "performance". Over the years I've seen many, many, many nearer-to-stock cars dust the heavily modifieds with equal drivers. Takes more than bolting on parts........

In a way that renders us posers for "the real thing"? The knock(s) on the M96 engined cars are extremely valid. I'll go one further and say that if the 996 interior popped up 4 years earlier in the 993, I'd stick with a 964 or look elsewhere.

Burning Brakes
I like the sunburst rear bumper with the air diffusers in the rear. Setup properly I am sure that would help get some air out the back and help reduce the pressure under the car.
If my car ever goes "track" I would go for a sunburst rear bumper with the Evo front and flares. My wife would absolutely kill me though
I wonder if either of them have the resources to do wind tunnel testing, even on a small scale...

Drifting
You know, they're really starting to grow on me. I thought they were too gawdy at first, but the more I think about it, they're just fun. Isn't that what owning a Porsche is all about? I probably wouldn't buy one, but I would make my own version. Maybe that's what I will do with my next Porsche!

The mechanical knocks on the M96 engined cars are no mystery. I was just using it as an example that we knock "factory" all the time. The shape of the headlights, non-curvy *** and the interior all work fine. People knock them because they think they're ugly. The interior works fine, you don't like it because it's ugly. I'm just saying there's nothing wrong with knocking a targa with a ducktail.
Oh and I do agree that if the 993 had the 996 interior I'd probably get a 964 or an NSX.
I want to say that I think the 996 interior is ugly, but my future father-in-law has one and if he reads this he probably won't be happy
I would live in that orange RW car.
