Anyone use Mobile Delvac gear oil?
Now that my new garage is usable I'm planning out my DIY fun. High on the list is new gear oil.
I sometimes notice a little notchiness in shifting from 1st to 2nd and would like to smooth that out as much as possible. My '95 has the RS Clutch/LWF and I like the noise the flywheel makes.
So far, based on searching here I'm leaning toward Mobile Delvac.
Anyone here using this or have a recommendation for another type?
Thanks,
Jim

I am currently running the Delvac.... and I also tried Rennline for a few months before that. I found that the Delvac made the shifting slightly smoother than the rennline but my notchy 1-2 shift is still there. The general idea around here is that every car is different... not all cars act the same with the same gear oil. I would give the Delvac a shot and see how it works for you

There are oodles of threads on this topic. I currently am running Delvac but it is not the best oil for reducing the notchiness of the 1/2 shift IMHO. I thought the Amsoil did a better job. Others seem to like Redline.

I'm running Delvac and not experiencing any issues. Depending on where you're at it can be hard to locate by the gallon. I purchased mine at my local Grainger supply.

I switched to the Delvac back in September and cannot wait to get that oil out of my transmission. It made 1-2 and 2-3 changes notchy. I'll be going back to the Motul i have been running for years.

I have been using Rennline 75w90ns for the last two fills and this last fill has seen lots of track time with no issues. I don't notice any notchy shifting...at least not enough that bothers me. I've never used Delvac or the Swepco but have thought about trying Swepco.

I've run 3 different oils in my tranny and the difference was not significant ie the notchy 1/2 shift when cold did not go away completely (I think this is normal anyway)

I had my transmission oil changed a few months back and went with Delvac after reading through most of the threads in this forum. Transmission is shifting just as good as before the change. I also had to call around to find a jug; the Grainger location in the next city had it in stock.
