Ya might want to look at Protomotive. They have a bolt on system, plus the other options. Mine is a stage 2 and rocks. My PCA club members cannot believe the power and sound.

No bodywork mods needed, it bolts right in. Just need proper harness and ECU etc.

WOW what a bunch of Nattering Nabobs of Negativity............

You want it?
Do it.
Probably easier / smarter to add a Protomotive kit though.

Have fun.

That's a big investment into a 993. Post over on the tt forum and see if someone there will let you ride in their car to be sure it's what you want. Or the shop could arrange a visit with one of their swap customers? If a turbo cab is what you want there's only one way to get one ... do it.

I just spoke to the Protomotive guys. They are emailing the info on the kit. At $12K ish it is a bargain. Ive always wanted to do a turbo install on a car. Ive read some of the posts on Rennlist by guys that have installed this. Time to research....

Im also going to research the TPC kit. Hum to Turbo or Supercharge??

Hi Zschicago. FWIW, I havbe dealt with Todd at Protomotive a few times. He is a stand-up guy and always willing to help. He re-flashed my ECU for pennies.

Which is the most durable and reliable setup: stock TT, TPC Supercharger or Promotive?

kind of a silly question...the factory solutions almost always results in the most durable and reliable setup, as its been tested for tens of thousands of miles.

Hard to say. Probably stock. But I peg mine regularly and have had no issues. My internals are beefed up, with Pauter rods, etc. When Protomotive did my engine in 2002, there was a whole list of mods done in the conversion. I added a Cargraphic oil cooler for piece of mind. Here in NC/SC in the middle of summer, my oil temp gauge never gets to 9:00. It runs cool and the AC blows ice. My stage II is supposed to have 510 HP, but I have not had it to a dyno. Soon though.

Hmmmm....more like dropping your 993 cab on a turbo motor than dropping a turbo motor in your 993 cab.

hehe sorry had to.
