Default C4's going in the body shop today.

I had a little hit & run last month. Some dumb *** tried to go in the opposite direction in a parking lot & cut into the spot next to my car. The rear fender has a good dent in it. I also have 2 small puncher holes in the front bumper. People in the parking lot, got the plate # & car type.

I'm getting the front bumper resprayed, & going to pay out of pocket to have them remove the bumperetts & license plate holes. Then what ever they do on the passenger bumper. ****ty thing is the passenger side of the car was perfect! I got a couple of rock chips on the drivers. I'm going to see how much extra to fix them up. Then I get the whole front end wrapped in clear bra.

While it's there, I'm getting a new windshield, Euro M030 (x-mas gift, love the wife!) & Walrod bushings. My thoughts are RS alignment settings +10mm in height.

While the situation sucks, the light @ the end of the tunnel is a almost new freshly painted car!

Anything else I should do while it's in there?

Sorry to hear about your incident Mike! It's a good thing there were witnesses and some means of cost recovery! I sounds like C4 is going to get a complete makeover. Would you be interested in making a road trip to Northern Cal this Spring to pickup Fister StageIIIs with me?

LOL, if it wasn't the DD, & I had the extra $$ a color change would not be out of the question.

Yea, I'm over it now, but I was a little more then "pissed". Not sure about a makeover, more of a freshening up.

Sure, that would be a good trip, & I know a lot of great back roads in Ca.

what to do while you're in there?

consider prophylactic replacement of oil cooler and air con evap ballast resistors, much easier to change when the BC is off.

also consider "headlight washer plugs"?
i made these and a friend and current RL small business site sponsor is prototyping a different design for possible production.

100% removable mod if you choose to return later to the washers.

have fun

Craig

The resistors are perfect, YES, I will have that that done. It didn't even don on me to replace them.

My headlight washers get used, so they are going to stay, we get a lot of wet days here in the PNW, all the dirt & other stuff on the lens will cut the output of the headlights. So I use the washers to clean the crud off.

I'm really excited about getting rid of the bumperetts & license plate holes.

You could replace the foglights with the large air ducts without lights for a nice clean look. Another thing to consider is replacing the orange indicators with clears.

I like the nice clean look of the fogs & clear corners. I already have the clear corners.

Who's doing the work Stealth? I've used Eurotech in the past but I will try Haury's next time.

Anyway, sorry to hear the unfortunate news and best of luck getting it sorted.

Haury's is doing the work, been using them for the past 10 years, so why change.

**** happens, right? I'm getting both bumpers painted, & the hood, then all new clear bra, & it's not going to cost me all the much. In the end, the car will be better off. It is really only a small baseball size dent in the rear quarter.

More info on changing these out please. I noticed back when it was hot out and the A/C was running that my fan was kicking on and off every couple seconds. Not sure if it was the compressor or not so I need to look into all the options.
