Default ABS Flicker

Hello All!

Having a little problem.
Driving to work today, the ABS light flickered on/off, exclamation flickered on/of, then engine skipped. This happened multiple times.
This is on a '95 with 51K miles
After searching, I see a small possibility is the alternator.
Anybody have any definitive experience?

Thanks!

Just a follow-up. Problem solved! (I hope!)
Even though there were no posts, Rennlist did help! Spent some quality time with search, and found a few vague references to flickering display, radio, and other dash warning lights.
The verdict was- Battery ground cable! Builds up resistance over time. Quick replacement.
Now, hopefully this will fix the problem! Maybe it was my imagination, but there seemed to be a more juice for startup, and a smoother idle.

The PO did replace the alternator. Maybe there is a link between more resistance and the alternator working harder that caused it to die?

I was just going to post this. Exact same thing happened too me recently. Not even the auto electrician could find the fault after a day looking.
In my case it was the little cable coming off the battery to the ASB unit. Tightened it up.
Glad you got it sorted.
