Mine will be 2.5's........'cause I'm special!
I'm going with Fister-D Stage II.5.......what can I say, I'm special...
Actually they're starting out as Porsche Motorsound Mufflers and they're getting the Stage II upgrade!
They should be arriving at FD on Fri., Mon. at the latest!

I am a stage II.5 man myself. Darin did a great job with my "Frankenmufflers".
It is by far my favorite mod. I leave the door open every time I start it up just to hear them bark.

Get the IIIs. I went from stock to RSRs up to stage IIs up to stage IIIs. I think I got more gurgles and pops (very cool to me) with my driving style with the IIs, but love the sound of the IIIs overall. They are not so loud that you'll feel you made a mistake.
As stated above, the install is super easy.

I understand some people (like grumpy old guy Into993) have a preference, but can't deny Fister is the way to go.

Thanks sdcabrio, good point of reference. I just asked for the III for my birthday and for my first official mod! I love the sound of both, and don't want regrets that I just didn't go for it in a sense.

I was a little nervous about going to III's in a cab as well... but did it anyway and no regrets at all. That was a year ago and if I had gone II's, I'm sure I'd have already sent them back for the III upgrade.
They aren't as loud as you might think, but damn they sound good!

I have the RSR's and would like a little more growl.
Would hate to lose that "Porsche sound' though...
Anyone decide to keep the RSR's and add a DACH X-pipe ?
How would the sound level of this combo compare to the FD III's ?
Sorry to hijack...
