One note, too: R-Comps are usually significantly wider than their indicated size. In other words Hoosier A6s will be much wider than Direzzas in the same 265 size written on both sidewalls.

You have to be aware of that and do some test-fittings, hopefully with somebody else's used up tires on your own wheels

Ok, I had a pair of 10''x18'' ET54 turbo twist in my garage since a few years, and for the last weeks I have read the informations here and there on the ET54 offest compare to ET65. So this morning I bought a pair of Dunlop Dizerra star spec 265/35/18 and fitted the wheels under. My car is RS height, I have done 100 km tonight and it fits perfectly, not touching anything, I have tried many different roads at excessive speeds and they never touched, they are even nicer than I expected, compared to the cupII 17'' my car is on rails. Unfortunatly I have no pictures and I took of the wheels already because my fronts are transitting between Texas and Quebec. I have never seen the rear end of that car as nice as that. The ET54 offset is perfect.

They supposedly came off a 964. The tires on them currrently are 235/40's and 265/35's. My car is lowered to RS +10mm specs. Please give me some good news.
10"ET54 with 285 will require fender rolling, but with 265 it will be borderline and likely influenced by the brand of tire (assuming no major adjustment in camber settings). For the front, with 8/5"ET56 you are OK with the 235s and should able to add a 7-10mm spacer and still not need to roll the fenders if you want to fill the wheel wells out a bit.

Default ET-54

recieved the fronts yesterday and put the wheels back on the car. No rubbing tried it again today, Narrow Body, RS height, RS corner balanced, Dunlop Dizzera star spec,
ET-54 rears and ET-50 fronts. I would even recommend a 275 in the rear, the 265 make the wheels look too wide. Maybe the tires but if you kook the picture, I don't like to see the lip of my rear wheels like that.
BTW the Dunlop are handling well, but they are NOT to compare with Michelin and Bridgestone. Just my 2 cents.

True, though, ain't it?

(season over, I'm bored to tears). Two sets of A6s sitting in the basement, they don't make for good snow tires for some reason. Maybe there's winter autocross in Florida? I'm seriously thinking of going there for the winter anyway.
