Correct.
But wide body cars have the side sills/rocker panel pieces that I mentioned - running between the front and rear wheels, including the bottom portion of the front fenders - and that side-sill "flaring" is mimicked by the front wide-body bumper cover.
So if you put a wide body front bumper cover on a narrow body car, the lines are no longer aligned (by a little bit).

Here is a picture of a 95 narrow body with a Turbo Front Bumper....so you can decide for yourself.
