Default Best thing about owning a 993

Driving to work this morning I was thinking of all the cool things that I love about my car. I came up with about 100 attributes. What is your number one love about your car? Mine is going, days, weeks and sometimes months without seeing another 993.

Drive it to work during the week and drive it on the track during the weekends without having to do anything to it.

Like best? It's all in sync. Right balance of go/stick/stop, combined with a comfort factor the earlier cars didn't have. I'm old now; I like the edge off for the commuter. On track, I like that the other one doesn't have any rubber in the suspension.

I didn't see another one on my way to the shop just now. Some days I'll see as many as six out here in the 'burbs of Contra Costa. Never in Oakland, though.

It's interesting. The rarity of the car, one foot in the traditional 911 world with one foot in the future, more visceral than the 996 or 997. More involved driving experience...and then the aesthetics. Unmatched in my opinion. Nothing looks like a 993 going down the road especially, black

Driving a 993 is the most fun you can have with your clothes on.

I like the rarity of the 993 and the classic look that blends the older style with the newer ones. But, most of all, I like its capabilities on the track. My car never ceases to amaze me in what it can do-how it corners and brakes most of all. I would not trade it for anything except the same car with a pair of turbos in the back.

It's been said before that the 993s performance has long since been eclipsed, probably with the arrival of something as basic as a Subie STi.

But I can't think of a modern car that is more beautiful to behold. "Looking good" is the category in which this car most stands out from its peers.

I love not having to change cam belts every three years! I absolutely prefer the driving experience of most Ferraris over the 993 but; the maintenance expenses can really P@#$ me off!

Porsches are without a dought the best built sports cars in the world!

The styling of the car, the driving experience, and just the fact that everything on the car works as it should even after 15 years.
