I talk about this all the time...these cars are so special! I can't stop staring at my 993. I love the way it feels around me...the wheel in my hands...the brakes at my foot are always there. It is like having a dog as your best freind. You just bond.

I love the way it feels like it's carved out of one solid piece of metal. Even though it's made up of individual parts, they all work harmoniously together as one piece.

To me it the 993 is a bridge between the early 911's and the modern water cooled cars. I love the way it looks, the way it's screwed together, and the way it drives. They are wonderful cars; it's almost a special event whenever I drive it.

I love that the 993, and therefore me, is ON all the time.
A friend was behind me in his 5-series the other day on the way to work. We hit an on-ramp and I blasted through the curves. When we got to work he said he knew I was going to do that and went to manual shift and sport mode. I told him "My car only has sport mode."

yea, pretty much
every shift, every throttle jab- big and little, every HEAVY braking moment, every corner, every stop...it's all good. Watching the wing go up...just seeing the lip, and watching(hearing) it go back down-short lived probably as I'm thinking seriously of joining the Duck Club.
Less we forget-walking up to it parked among the ordinary. Walking up to and around it while idling-especially with Stage lll's.
Instant heat on a cool morning is pretty nice too.
Just every damn thing about it huh!

The timeless design that never goes out of style...I still can't take my eyes off it!
It's also the only car I have ever driven that that gives me that same man/machine bond that I get riding a motorcycle.

I agree it,s like a motorcycle. I had the same feeling in 1969 when I first rode my sandcast 750 Honda Four. My best friend had a rusty 1967 911S and we traded back and forth .
But I don,t need a rainsuit in the 993

Every drive massages the "pleasure" lobe of my brain.........
Like a motorcycle? That would depend on what machine you ride. Some bikes are large over-sized lawnmowers, others are precision built machines, akin to the 993.
