Default immobilizer acting up

My immobilizer has been acting eratic lately, the batterey is fully charged, I cleaned the idle control valve. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesent, when it doesnt I hear it ticking like a clock under the passenger seat, if I open the car door useing the key, then open the engine hood close it, then the immobilizer will work.
I've done a search already, do these symptoms seem familiar to anyone.

yes the batterey in the remote was the first thing I changed. I just changed fuse
#11, the trunk and the interior light started flashing then remained lit. Then the remote started working again, I'll still remove the passenger seat and make sure the ground and all connections are ok.

Their might be a problem with the door or hood switch. If you can hook it up to a Durametric it will tell you if there are any faults in the system. You might also want to make sure the immobilizer isn't wet or damp & has a good connection.

Cleaning the ICV & doing the DME relay will have absolutely no affect on the immobilizer.

I'm a little dense. Are you saying 1)that the IMMOBILIZER won't arm, 2) won't disarm or 3) The car won't start?
