Default Rainy Day Project (Alignment)

Dove into setting the yellow car to baseline, since I'd not done the whole thing for a couple of years. Yes, tedious without a rack. But it's not like you have to do it too often. Achieved the holy grail of corner weights though! Oddest thing I found was that I'd run out of toe adjustment in the left rear (couldn't dial out the toe-in). Had to take the toe link off and spin down the rod end.

Lousy Blackberry photos, which were posted in near real time yesterday on the Facebook 993 group Thatcher set up.

Nice work, I am envious of your setup.... Wish I had scales.

What cost me a small fortune 10+ years ago should be only a few hundred now. But there's not much point if you've only got one car.

I have a few friends that would use it as well, and one has a 4 post lift.... Just one of those things on the wish list (one of many!!)

Got a couple of PMs asking why the car weighs so much. Well, it IS ballasted for cornerweighting and alignment. Not eloquently, but 3 sacks of this plus a battery pretty much equal "me".

The weight? Car's all steel, and only the A/C was removed and some interior components were changed out. The RSA race car was right at 2900, race weight.

Love if this one was lighter, but I'm not hacking it up until I dive in for the faux GT2. Like that will ever happen the way things are going!

Thanks Ken, It's always interesting to see where different cars come in at. So your car without driver is around 2900lb? (assuming 170lb or so worth of ballast)...

Was about 2830 with zero fuel when I first rolled it on. Basically 100lbs. more than the fairly similar RSA. RSA did have a full cage, though it was only a Safety Devices unit.

I was checking the prices out on the scales, Its the accessories that kill you (Leveling pads etc.)

I made my own version of the "Smart Strings" I call mine the "Not So Smart Strings" Takes a little longer to set up

adding to ken's thread, although it was sunny and warm today.
so this is my little cab, 1/2 tank of fuel and top down.
the cool thing is how I got to this point. I adjusted the pss10 collars as close
side to side as I could, best guess from doing my coupe.
ride height ended up F138 R120 within 2mm per corner. had the scales set
up jumped in the driver's seat and voila! 50.15%, its that easy. and close enough for me so no adjustment.

took me at least an hour to get my coupe that close. maybe cabs are just built that much better.
