Default OT: For North Georgia Mountain Leaf Lookers

Took a ride today and just thought I'd let you folks down in the flatlands know that this will probably be the peak weekend of the "leaf season" in the North Georgia mountains. With the exceptionally dry August and September, it's not the most spectacular fall season I've seen, but there are ceratin areas that still have a lot of color. I suspect that with rain coming in next week, most of it will be gone by month's end. C'mon up and enjoy if you can.

haha... thanks! I ended up doing the full concours even though I didnt think the car was ready for that. The engine bay isnt as clean as Andreas but I scored pretty well. It was a good time... cant wait for next year! Oh and I got around to getting the new gear oil in the car and its much better. thanks!

It will be at least five weekends before I get a free one, so I'm out.

Dang! I was going to Road Atlanta this weekend to observe the D.E. Event. Hoping to get it out there on Sunday for a donation.

Anyone else going to R.A.??

Hopefully it won't rain next weekend and I'll give it a shot. Let the wife look at trees while I find some curvy roads.

Well all of a sudden my weekend out of town plans changed..

I'm not running at RA this weekend because of the previous plans... but a N. GA run may work?!

Yeah, I'm not running...just observing, I want to see what all this is about before I go to my first session. Meet some people.

I would love to go up this weekend but I am babysitting niece and nephew...and although I technically have 4 seats.... :-)

The roads in N. Ga are superb, as good as Deal's Gap (or so I have read), and less trafficked and policed.

My weekend is most likely spoken for - building a new bedroom downstairs for 'tween daughter...And I thought Halloween was scary!

Can't do it this weekend, but next might be a possibility.
