Default Car feels very loose at 75 mph+

I have noticed recently after not driving on the hwy for some time that my 1996 993 feels very loose and unstable at speeds of 75 mph or more... It tends to drift a bit... the rear sway bar drop link is missing on the driver's side. Would that do it? Also, at 60 mph and above the car pulls kinda hard to the left.
Thanks!

Drive at 65.....

Seriously, you should replace the swaybar link immediately it will be adversely affecting your handling.

Sounds like you have a wheel alignment or tire pressure issue as well. Make sure tires are at recommended pressure, tires are in good condition and your alignment is at spec.

Would be interesting to find out why the link is missing, was it damaged? If so, the damage could have cause other issues with your suspension or alignment.

It'll make it push more, but that's about it. Certainly won't matter on straight line road driving.

Mine popped on the C4S one day when I was using it on track. Wondered why there was more push coming off of 2 @ Thunderhill. Thought the Hoosiers finally heat cycled out. Lap times were consistent, so I drove through it the rest of the session. Looked underneath later on and found the drop link had popped.

I even disconnected the rear bar on purpose on the yellow car at Laguna earlier this year. THAT was a mismatch of RA1s at different points in their life, and I could not keep the back under the car for the life of me. Funny thing is that it didn't matter much at all, lap time wise. Just more reassuring in not having to bring back my old driving techniques so much from when we had to run square tire sized on the small engined non-flared cars of the '70s.

Have your tie-rod ends and ball-joints checked. And front end bushings and wheel bearings....Basically something is probably worn in the front end. My bet is tie-rod ends.

Don't eliminate just a rear toe alignment issue

You're driving too slow! It should hunker down better at about 90.

I kid... have no idea, but I hope you figure it out!

well i had similar problem, 97 C2 cab 145k miles daily driver.
goosy as hell and always felt like the wind was blowing.
terrible.
so i had it aligned, no good, i took it to Roger Kraus Racing and Brandson and Dave did the align. still terrible and it felt unsafe over 60.
so i called Brandon and said keep the car for a week and drive it.

then Roger looked at it too, the following were the possibilities, the tires were not Porsche approved and the fronts one size too large, the rack might bee too old but was not leaking, ball joint ends, struts, front bushings, rears shocks . Hell it was going to be very expensive but Roger drove it and felt it was a rear shock issue.
They could have cleaned my wallet but they put in rear shocks, aligned it again, said the rack was tight, the bushings still good for my dally driving. and the car is like it is on rails.... again.
Those folks have ethics, knowledge and skill, and i want to pass it on.
